Big Money Battle For Broke
Big Money Battle For Broke 2K17
Big Money Battle for Broke is a major yearly charity fighting game tournament to benefit The Humane Society of Southeast Texas
Founded in 2015, this year marks our third strike on the scene. Last year cemented us as the largest gaming event in all the region. This year we hope to make it even more hype by hosting more games, more players, and fiercer competition, all with more money on the line, for both players to compete to win, and for the volunteers and animals who need it at the Humane Socierty.

The Humane Society of Southeast Texas is dedicated to enriching the lives of pets and people through advocacy, education, and forever homes for our companion animals. Founded in 1962, The Humane Society has been a Southeast Texas institution for over fifty years. They are a fully non-profit organization run entirely by donor contributions, community volunteers, and a lot of love. With up to 200 animals on the grounds each day, the staff works extremely hard to attend to the needs of their tenants, and thank you from the bottom of their hearts for any donations and volunteering you can offer.
SETX eSports
SETX eSports Association
The SETX eSports Association and its largest active player base, the SETX Fighting Game Community, is Southeast Texas's Premier competitive gaming group. Containing players from all over the area they strive to push competition in the region and drive players to compete abroad.
The community also strives to host tournaments to both showcase their skill and bring in the surrounding talent to perform at the high level. In addition to Battle For Broke, SETX FGC hosts weekly, monthly and other yearly events.

Pharroh's Combo Killers, ran by PCK PharrohYami, is a Killer Instinct Stream, Event Hosting, and Online Tournament holder. Texas Showdown
Texas Showdown
Texas Showdown is currently the largest and premier fighting game tournament in Texas. Held over three days in the spring, they pull some of the best competition from around to world to compete in the biggest games.
They are currently running "Space City Beatdown", a monthly tournament series which features the Red Bull Proving Grounds. They will be holding their next event on October 7th at the Insomnia Gallery. Check out their event here:

After Hurricane Harvey, the great people at Texas Showdown held an event to raise money toward disaster relief. As many know our area was hit particularly hard, and they donated half of their proceeds to SETX FGC. We hope to partially return the love by sending as many people as we can their way in support.
